Sadly Gof passed away recently, failing to recover after a fall left him in a coma.

Gof was instrumental in building the infrastructure of the club after its move to Spytty Park in 1990.
Gof worked tirelessly for the club planning building projects as well as serving as Treasurer to the Newport Sports Association. 
His son Lawrence, played for the club throughout his Junior playing days and played for the club's 1st team in the early 2000's.
Gof will be missed by all at Newport Cricket Club....but never forgotten!
