304 Partnership between Callum Taylor & Harry Friend a New SWPL Record

Callum Taylor scored an amazing 196no which was his own

a personal best, and Harry Friend 138 as Newport beat Ammanford by 

107 runs in the SWPL at Spytty Park.

Taylor's inning of 139 balls, consisted of 22 fours and 4 sixes and his score equalled Cameron 
Herrings previous Newport record score of 196no in 150 balls, batting throughout the innings, 
way back in 2011. 

Harry Friend 137

With Harry Friend scoring 137 in 136 balls, which include 14 fours and 3 sixes, the pair 

put on a new SWPL batting partnership of 304 runs, beating the SWPL's previous record score of 296 
put on by Brad Wadlan and Chris Gibson earlier this year. 

The record partnership also beat the previous Newport record partnership of 303 held by 
Michael Clayden and Carwyn James in 2006.

The SWPL individual batting record is held by current Newport and Glamorgan legend Mark Wallace, 
who scored 216 for Port Talbot.
