Newport CC U13 Girls - Lady Taverners National Finalists
Newport U13 Girls will play Leyland (Preston) in the U13 Lady Taverners National
Finals at Neston in Cheshire on Wednesday, August 1st.
Having beaten Marshfield (Wilts), Radyr (Cardiff) and Taunton Deane (Somerset) in the early rounds the team progressed through to the South West Zone Final where they were drawn at home to Totton & Eling (Hants).
A fine performance from the team, saw them bowl Totton out for 84 and an excellent 60no by Sophia Smale saw them to a comfortable 10 wicket victory.
The other semi final will be Spencer (Surrey) v Porthill Park (Staffs)
Matches start at 10.30am
